How do I buy unlisted shares on Polemarch?

Complete KYC (PAN + Aadhaar eKYC + bank penny-drop + demat CMR), add funds to your wallet via IMPS/NEFT/RTGS, then place an order. Shares settle to your CDSL or NSDL demat account within T+2 working days of payment.

How is the unlisted share price determined?

Polemarch prices are set by actual secondary-market transactions between willing buyers and sellers. They are benchmarked against the company's most recent funding-round valuation, grey-market rates, and comparable listed peers — not a single data point.

Is it safe to buy unlisted shares?

Unlisted shares carry higher volatility and liquidity risk than exchange-listed stocks. Polemarch mitigates custody risk by settling every trade directly to the buyer's registered demat account through CDSL or NSDL — the same depositories that settle BSE/NSE trades.

What is the minimum investment for unlisted shares?

The minimum order on Polemarch is ₹5,000. There is no upper limit. A flat 2% platform fee applies per order with no hidden spread.

How long does it take for unlisted shares to reach my demat account?

Settlement completes within T+2 working days (typically 48 hours) after your payment clears and our operations team initiates the off-market DIS transfer.

What tax applies to gains from unlisted shares in India?

Shares held over 24 months attract 20% Long-Term Capital Gains (LTCG) tax with indexation benefit. Shares held 24 months or less attract Short-Term Capital Gains (STCG) tax at your income-tax slab rate. Surcharge and 4% cess apply on top.

Can I sell unlisted shares back on Polemarch?

Yes. You can list your shares for sale on Polemarch once they are in your demat. Unlisted shares have lower liquidity than listed equities — exit timing depends on finding a willing buyer or a corporate event (IPO, buyback, or merger).
