4. Dos and Don'ts for Unlisted-Share Investing
Do
- ✓Verify the company's financials, promoter background, and business model before investing
- ✓Ensure the share transfer is reflected in your demat account statement
- ✓Keep records of all transaction confirmations and communications
- ✓Diversify your portfolio — do not concentrate all funds in a single unlisted security
- ✓Consult a SEBI-registered investment advisor for personalised advice
- ✓Report any suspicious activity or unsolicited investment tips to Polemarch immediately
Don't
- ✗Invest money you cannot afford to lose — unlisted shares are high-risk and illiquid
- ✗Share your login credentials, OTPs, or passwords with anyone, including Polemarch staff
- ✗Fall for guaranteed-return promises — no legitimate investment can guarantee returns
- ✗Transfer funds to personal bank accounts of any individual claiming to represent Polemarch
- ✗Ignore transaction confirmations, settlement notifications, or communication from the platform
- ✗Rely solely on social media tips or unverified sources for investment decisions
