A typical migration from a spreadsheet of record runs one to two weeks. We import the existing cap table, reconcile it line-by-line against your sheet, and only flip the live switch once you sign off on the reconciled view.

Yes. The plan-setup wizard captures pool size, eligible classes, vesting template, exercise window, and post-termination treatment. The board resolution under Section 62(1)(b) is templated and routed for e-sign.

Standard 4-year-with-1-year-cliff is the default; per-grant overrides support arbitrary cliffs, monthly / quarterly / annual unlocks, milestone-based vesting, and acceleration triggers (single-trigger, double-trigger, change-of-control).

Demat-form share issuance via the depositories is on the Q5 / Q6 roadmap. In the interim, Captable runs the cap table on physical / Letter-of-Allotment basis with the option to dematerialize at the next major event.

Yes — at any time, in CSV, JSON, or PDF, with no rate limits. Captable is the source of truth for your cap table; we never hold your data hostage. Full ledger export is also available for diligence rooms.

When a grant letter goes out, the grantee receives a Digio link. They enter their Aadhaar, get an OTP, and sign — the resulting PDF carries an IT Act §3A-grade signature with an audit trail. See /captable/compliance/aadhaar-esign for detail.

Captable falls back to a click-wrap signature via DocuSign or Adobe Sign for non-residents. Both carry recognition under the Indian Evidence Act read with Section 65B and the IT Act's electronic-record provisions.

Every cap-table mutation lands as an append-only, timestamped row keyed to the user, IP, and request. We don't allow row-level deletes — corrections are recorded as compensating events, never as overwrites.

Yes. We have importers for Carta, EquityList, and Excel/Google Sheets. The importer maps your existing shareholder records, share classes, grants, and vesting schedules into Captable's schema and flags any inconsistencies before going live.

You do. Captable processes cap-table data on your behalf as a data processor under the DPDP Act. Sub-processor list, retention periods, and termination-data-portability terms are spelled out in the data processing agreement.

No. Stakeholder views are scoped to their own grants and the issuer's public information (board composition, share classes). They can't see the rest of the cap table or other grantees' positions.

Yes. SAFEs (post-money + pre-money) and convertible notes are first-class instruments with the right discount, valuation cap, and conversion logic. Captable runs the conversion math the moment the priced round closes.

Tender offers, buybacks, and individual secondary sales are supported. Captable opens a liquidity window inside the stakeholder portal, accepts elections, and settles proceeds into Polemarch wallets.
