# How to Get Your CMR / CML Copy from Angel One

Angel One is a **CDSL** depository participant. Unlike Zerodha or Groww, it does **not currently expose a self-serve CMR option** anywhere in the app or on the web platform. If you have been hunting through the menus, that is why you cannot find it.

The document exists — Angel One just does not give you a button for it.

The steps

  1. 1Open your email client, using the email address registered with Angel One.
  2. 2Send to [email protected].
  3. 3Subject: *Request for Client Master Report (CMR)*.
  4. 4In the body, ask for your Client Master Report and include your Client Code.

The digitally-signed PDF normally arrives within one business day.

*Route verified against Angel One's own support channel on 2026-05-08.*

Send it from the registered address — this is the whole game

The most common reason an Angel One CMR request appears to go unanswered is that it was sent from the wrong inbox.

Because the CMR contains PAN and account identifiers, brokers will not send it to an unverified address. A request from a personal Gmail when your account is registered to a work address is not usually refused with an explanation — it is often just not actioned.

If you are unsure which address is registered, check the sender of any recent Angel One contract note or statement. That is the registered address.

The password on the PDF

Almost every CMR arrives as a password-protected PDF. Angel One has used two conventions over the years. Try PAN in capitals first (ABCDE1234F). If it is rejected, try PAN in capitals followed by date of birth as DDMMYYYY (ABCDE1234F05081990). Older accounts are more likely to use the second.

Two things trip people up:

  • PAN must be in capitals. ABCDE1234F, not abcde1234f. Most PDF readers do not tell you the case was wrong — they just reject the password.
  • Do not remove the password yourself. You do not need to. Upload the protected file and type the password into the field below the file picker; Polemarch decrypts it server-side. Re-saving the PDF through a third-party "unlock" site strips the broker's digital signature, which is exactly the thing verification checks for.

Also known as

Angel One users search for this document under several names — "Angel One CML copy download", "Angel One client master list", "Angel Broking CMR". They are all the same file. If you are asking support and they seem unsure, "Client Master Report" is the phrasing their internal teams use. CML vs CMR covers why the naming is so inconsistent across the industry.

If you get no reply

  1. 1Confirm you sent from the registered email address — this is the cause the large majority of the time.
  2. 2Allow a full business day; requests sent Friday evening may not be actioned until Monday.
  3. 3Escalate through in-app Help & Support, which creates a tracked ticket rather than an email thread.
  4. 4As a last resort, an NSDL-registered holder can pull an equivalent statement themselves through NSDL IDeAS — though this does not apply to Angel One accounts, which are CDSL.

Uploading the CMR to Polemarch

Once you have the PDF:

  1. 1Open **Dashboard → Demat Accounts → Add**.
  2. 2Pick your broker from the dropdown — broker-specific instructions appear inline.
  3. 3Upload the CMR PDF. If it is password-protected, type the password in the field below the file picker. We strip it server-side and store the unencrypted copy (max 2 MB; larger files are auto-compressed).

Our verification partner matches the PAN and holder name automatically. If everything matches, the demat is marked verified instantly. If not, it goes to manual review and we email you within one business day.

Shares you buy are delivered into your own demat account at CDSL or NSDL, in your name — Polemarch never holds them. Settlement is T+2 working days.

Frequently asked

Angel One does not currently expose a self-serve CMR or CML download in its app or web platform. The reliable route is to email [email protected] from your registered email address asking for your Client Master Report. The digitally-signed PDF is normally sent back within one business day.
